Anyone who saw it: was it a very serious injury? The last thing we need right now is for Tracy to miss games, especially at a point where we have a great chance to gain games on Sacramento and Dallas. It would be a terrible waste of a season if we're done in by the injury bug.
here basically a run down: Tmac on defense, tried follow the ball at the goal and he turned right into Yao with his right leg out. At the very same time, Yao step right where T-Macs was , Yao stepped right on it, so it couldn't move. Tmac's momentum caused him to straight leg and put hip, since his foot was planted under Yao's. He grabbed his hip in grimacing pain when he went down, perhaps the same quad injury he had earlier. It looked extremely serious like one of those bent leg pile ups like in football, he could not walk under his own power and was caried off by 2 rockets. Mabye a few hours later (sarcasm) they reported that T-mac was up walking and jogging around the locker room, and official announce a right hip strain. Later they announce the Rockets would take the cautious route and keep Tracy out of this game; thats basically it. The Rockets trainer i believe, according to FSN, said that Tracy should be ready for Sunday's game unless they encounter any set backs, and no later than Wednesday's game vs. Utah. I say hold him out 1 more game, but thats just me.
well , i just wandering something, coz t-mac only played 3 minutes tonight, is his numbers in this game is also included in the nba stats calculation? coz if it is, then t-mac's ppg will drop drastically
I trust the Rockets trainer a good deal. Hes always been on the money on every single diagnosis, so expect Tmac to be ok. It was really a non contact injury.
hopefully they wont have to play mcgrady as much on sunday then he normally does because it looks like he might need some time to let it fully recover.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatever:</div><div class="quote_post">well , i just wandering something, coz t-mac only played 3 minutes tonight, is his numbers in this game is also included in the nba stats calculation? coz if it is, then t-mac's ppg will drop drastically</div> Yes, it's included. Injuries are part of the game. Some players who would work really hard on their conditioning (Jordan, Malone, and Stockton come to mind) rarely got injured despite being physical players.
Latest report says TMac's injury is not serious. The results of the x-ray and mri are both negative. TMac was about to come back and play last night but precautionary measures have been implemented by trainer Keith Jones so as not to aggravate the injury. TMac will be questionable to play tomorrow against the Spurs and it depends if he'll be able to recover today. The Rockets will have 3 games in 4 night starting tomorrow. Sacrificing a game or two would be fine but let's just hope for the best.
Wooooooooooo.....I'm glad it's not serious.............I didn't get a chance to watch the game last night, but my boy told me TMac had gotten hurt and I almost broke out in tears.........but I was watching the news this morning and they said he was walking around after the game so he should be okay............but like someone said earlier I wouldn't mind seeing TMac sit out a couple of games.....theres no need to rush dude back.......especially since we have a light schedule ahead of us.
