<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO -- When Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter weren't trading one big shot after another last Friday night they were joking and trash-talking one another as only cousins and former teammates could do.

But even McGrady had to laugh when he caught wind of a report in Tuesday's Toronto Sun that he was pondering a return to someday play for the Toronto Raptors.

The Sun reported that "McGrady misses playing with Carter, misses Toronto and has become so distraught at the losing in Orlando that he would like to come back."

McGrady spent the first three seasons of his NBA career in Toronto, but bolted via free agency in 2000 to sign with the Magic. A native of nearby Auburndale, McGrady has said repeatedly that he was miserable during his time in Toronto, complaining about the weather and former coach Darrell Walker.

He admitted that he and Carter spent plenty of time jabbering during the Raptors' 87-86 victory last Friday. McGrady scored 18 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter and also swatted two of Carter's shots down the stretch. But he laughed off the notion that he wants to return to Toronto.

"Man, now that's funny," McGrady said before Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Hornets. "We were out there talking and kidding around, but we weren't talking about that.

"Now, I guess all the experts will be saying that I want to go to Toronto. Man, that's crazy."

So I guess this puts an end to the debate of whether or not he wants to return to the Raptors.

These days I can't take anything that Wince Carter or Tracy McBaby say seriously.
