Tonight in springfield after awkwardly twisting his left knee again. Said was helped off the ice badly favoring the knee again. God damn it with our shit going nowhere team this kid should have been left up here to go thru his growing pains while the team is going nowhere and is total shit.

Stupidity brings bad luck. He should have never been sent down. That being said, most are calling it a minor sprain.

Should have been up from the get-go along with Kreider & Miller. The Rangers are the only team in the NHL that insists on keeping their top drafts in the minors for years until their competitive spirit is broken. The AHL tempo is about half the speed of the NHL, there is little to be learned, all a player can do is put up ridiculous numbers to wake old man Sather up from his slumber. I have little faith that after 14 years of ineptitude Sather is finally going to get it right. Time to float the old goat out to sea .

What is it about Miller's 6pts in 44gms that makes you think he should be in the NHL? If anything this team rushed Miller to the bigs when he had no business being in NY.

31, you have the dumbest mentality developing players I've ever seen. You think to justify playing in the NHL you have to produce right away. Gimme a break. Pacioretty for example had 6 goals and 25 points in his first 86 games.

I don't give a flying F that Pacioretty did 4yrs ago. This team cannot score for shit and Miller was one of the stone hands that couldn't produce any offense . Taylor fking Pyatt scores more than 6pts in 44gms and he BLOWS. Keep Miller in the A getting his feet wet then let him come up when he can contribute offensively to the team.

Mcilreith went for mri today on same left knee previously injured. With the rangers luck he'll need a knee replacement. :MARIS61::MARIS61:

Dominic Moore has scored 5 goals in his last 108 games, Taylor Pyatt has scored 6 goals in his last 70 games so I'm not quite sure what your point is 31. My post was related to developing drafted talent. Miller is 12 years younger than Moore & Pyatt and was the Rangers 1st round pick of the 2011 draft. If you think playing two talentless journeymen is a better option than getting your 20 year old first rounder NHL experience then our opinions differ. I think we know what we have with Pyatt, he's a slow, lazy, baby-Huey afraid to initiate any contact despite his size and Moore, a likeable guy with no exceptional talent, a jack of no trades.

Dont want to speak for 31 but pretty sure he isnt saying play Pyatt and Moore over Miller....He is simply saying Miller is not contributing enough offense RIGHT NOW and that is true.

Jury is out on JT Miller. He MIGHT be really good player. I certainly still have faith he will be but nobody knows how good he will be. To date he has not shown much scoring ability but its very very early.

He has cited Pyatt and compared their stats whenever Miller's name comes up so perhaps it's coincidental but the difference is Pyatt is 33 and sucks while Miller is 20. Miller has a lot more upside than Pyatt who honestly should be released when Callahan comes back. Miller had 5 hits in tonight's game and 3 SOG and played about 1 minute longer than Moore (1 hit and 0 SOG). If Miller keeps his effort up to tonight's level there will be no need for a jury until Callahan is back.

The Rangers role players don't score for the most part anyway. What they need to do is develop some better role players. While I agree that I wanted Miller to play all season at the AHL, I didn't figure on our role players at the NHL level on being crap. So, might as well keep the kid up here all year and let him figure it out.

The point is more towards let miller develop more in the ahl getting quality minutes because he is not ready for a top 6 forward spot. It doesn't make sense to rush players simply because the current roster sucks.

My point is that Miller is contributing so little to the offense that even scrubs like Pyatt do better offensively. That's how bad Miller has been offensively. Not saying i want to see Pyatt on the roster over Miller, especially long term since i believe Miller can be a very solid NHL player, but Miller has not earned the right to be in NY when he can't hit produce any offense. Neither has Pyatt and i wish he was gone, but that's a different story.

Miller plays hard. Pyatt and about 4 other scrubs on this roster don't. To me, he's earned the right to be here.
