Rory McIlroy is feeling cocky. The 21-year-old from Northern Ireland has already won a PGA Tour event at Quail Hollow this spring and finished a strong third at the British Open last month. Thus, he has come to the PGA Championship here at Whistling Straits and declared himself ready to become the next young golfer to win his first major. McIlroy pointed out that the landscape at major tournaments have changed with Tiger Woods’ struggles, Phil Mickelson’s problems with arthritis and Lee Westwood’s injury that is keeping him out of the PGA.
