<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The potential suitors for Seattle SuperSonics coach Nate McMillan reportedly grew by one.
If Larry Brown leaves the Detroit Pistons to become the president of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Pistons have targeted McMillan as a possible replacement, according to a report in the Detroit News on Wednesday.

The paper also said the Pistons, currently competing in the Eastern Conference finals against the Miami Heat, will pursue Flip Saunders, fired by the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this season.

According to a league source, the Pistons? first choice is Saunders, whose negotiations for the vacant job in Portland recently fell apart. If Detroit cannot get Saunders, it reportedly will pursue McMillan.

The Pistons would not be able to speak to McMillan unless the Sonics give them permission or the Sonics and McMillan are unable to reach an agreement on a new contract by June 30, when McMillan?s contract expires.

McMillan?s agent, Lonnie Cooper, and Sonics CEO Wally Walker began discussions on a new contract this week, according to Walker, though he would not say where in the process the sides are.

Neither Cooper nor McMillan returned phone messages.</div>

Nate's style of hardnose defense, protect the paint would be the kind of coach who would fit in well in Detroit. Wether It's Flip or Nate who could get the job, they are taking over a great core and will have alot to work with.
