    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting wink3fan:</div><div class="quote_post">Hi, I'm from the Magic forum, and I saw this at OrlandoSentenial.com

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/bask...?coll=orl-magic</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"It's pretty tough for me, because I did go through a pretty bad situation last year [with the Magic]," Me-Mac said. "To come here, I thought it was going to be a start of a new beginning. Right now, this is tough, because I really didn't expect for me to go through this."

    I, I, I.

    Me, me, me.

That's Me-Mac. That's why the Magic are much better without him and the Rockets are much worse with him. That's why the Magic's Johnny Davis was chosen the NBA's Coach of the Month on Thursday, and Houston's Jeff Van Gundy might be the first coach fired this season.</div>

Wow. That's pretty retarded. A player isn't supposed to talk in first-person any more, or he's selfish?

How about this quote from Orlando GM Weisbrot which was also in the article:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
"I have vindication and satisfaction from the fact that we were a real bad team and we made a trade that everybody hated, and now we're a much better team," Weisbrod said. "But do I get satisfaction and vindication from Houston and T-Mac struggling? I can't say that I do."</div>

Uh oh. I guess he's selfish and cares only about himself too!

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">McGrady already is whining about playing an inside-out game with Yao Ming and sharing the ball in Van Gundy's system.

"Coach likes to get everybody involved," McGrady told the Houston Chronicle. "It's tough for me to get in rhythm like that."

Translation: Me-Mac needs the ball for Me-Mac to be effective.</div>

Funny. Steve Francis also struggled last year under a similar system, so why isn't he also criticizing Stevie for needing the ball to be effective. He also says that McGrady is whining about sharing the ball. No, he's being honest -- he hasn't performed up to his abiliites, and he explains that he's used to having the ball in his hands and getting into a rhythm offensively. The fewer touches you get, the harder it is to get into a rhythm, and the less efficient you'll be.

I hate it when athletes get criticized for being honest by self-important sports-writers. All of a sudden he's selfish because he feels he needs to ball in his hands more to be effective? Maybe, but by that criteria Magic, Bird, Jordan, Hakeem, and Shaq were all selfish players as well. Plus, this is a case where the coach WANTS him to be selfish. McGrady was unsure how assertive the coach wanted him to be, and he was frustrated that he wasn't helping the team win more games (what a horrible person he is!). But Van Gundy made it clear before the Dallas game that he wants McGrady to take over the offense. And he promptly pours in the second best individual performance of the season.

^Preach!!! The title is funny though. Me Mack [IMG] but T-Mac's just keeping it real!!! I always wondered how many negative responses Barkley would get when he was in his prime and this board was up back then. Sorry to get off topic, but yeah he just being honest. What was he suppose to say, that everything will be fine and keep his real emotions covered up like a government conspiracy HUH?

This guy is so biased I won't even explain myself. It's so clear, with the parts that durvasa pointed out. I hardly remember Michael Jordan using the term "we" when he has a great performance. Great players have to have that attitude, otherwise they'd never reach that elite level. It's also part of the reason why Yao is not a top-tier player yet.

You just gotta hate these Magic fans who think that they're all that since they're winning and we're losing.

One thing you have to remember is that basketball is a TEAM sport. You cannot blame T-Mac for the team's problems. The fact is, out team can't work together well, and our bench is very weak. Nothing in basketball is just black and white. There is not just one thing that decides how a team plays, there are so many factors involved. In the Rocket's case, it ranges from Team Chemisry, to the JVG system, to T-Mac, Yao, and our under-performing roleplayers such as Juwon and Lue (who happen to be from the Magic)

You hit the nail on the head with that last point. I was trying to bring that point up during the trade rumors but many ignored it and were like "woohooo T-Mac!" or "WTF TMAC FOR FRANCIS??". You gave up two awesome players (Mobley and Cato) for two bums (J.Howard and Lue). I would blame your struggles pirmarily on that fact alone.

There u go again. Its not the ONLY factor for our problems. I would like to say, that I really wish we had Cato though. I love Cutinno, but we can do with out him in a JVG system, but Big Kelv was just the player that JVG wanted. But like I've said several times in this thread, the trade wasn't the onl factor. I'd say that JVG is a huge factor, because under a different sustem, theres a chance that Juwon and Ty could've flourished. I especially think that Ty running the open floor is a strength for him.
