Look what I found, the OTHER new batting coach has opened his mouth. Yep, he also made comments about a team AND players whom he has never coached.....and also commented on a player/players he previously worked with..... .....gee whiz, this sounds familiar.....um...where have we seen this before.....?... Interesting to note what wasn't said. He had the trust of the players, Cash even praised him for that. But their is no mention of Long being in tune with the mgmt or organization. Long himself speaks of that in selecting the Mets, but no mention of his past. There is something else to this story. Great he was able to help Granderson, Swisher, Cano and even Jeter...but those guys aren't there anymore. Or maybe it's simply someone had to go other than Cash or Girardi. Either way, water is still wet.
