Media now starting to crush Glass and AV

First with the article titled, "Miller continues to flash the skill set that gets him benched."

Now with a big article about how much Glass sucks.

Also, it is completely false to say Fast is defensively responsible but is offensively absent. He's only getting 10 minutes of ice time. His stats project over 82 gamesto 8 goals and 20 points. He would have more if dumbass AV stopped putting Glass on his line who destroys any offense that line could generate.

 

Some funny comments all around:

It’s true Glass is one of the few physical players on the Rangers (19-11-4), an element of their game that seems to be lacking. Although Monday’s game got chippy at times, the Blueshirts recorded only 15 total hits, the team-leader being 5-foot-5 Mats Zuccarello.

So both Glass and Vigneault have found ways to quantify the player’s worth, which is another way of bringing eyes away from his stat line of zero goals, one assist, and a team-worst (by far) minus-12 rating through 29 games.

“For me, I measure my game on different things than goals, assists and even plus-minus, but it’s easy to say that when you have a few numbers,” Glass said. “When I look at my season so far, it’s tough to ignore the zero goals, minus-double-digits now. But at the same time, I try not to focus on that stuff, and be positive. And I do know that I impact that game in other ways that other guys don’t.”

It would still be somewhat surprising if Glass weren’t in the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Panthers in Sunrise, Fla., the Rangers’ annual New Year’s Eve visit there. For one reason or another, coach Alain Vigneault has seemingly set aside roster spots for Glass and veteran Lee Stempniak, even if he’s not willing to concede that’s the case.

 

I am laughing as a I read this article. Glass adds a physical element. I don't see it. Maybe I miss it because he is always on ice for the other teams goals, so I am focusing on that, not the 2 hits a game he throws.

I don't measure my game on goals, assists or even plus minus. Interesting. So do you measure it on the 2 hits a game you throw Tanner?

Here are some good numbers to think about. Dude is a -12 this year for us (-7 worse than any other player on the team). On Pitt, a team that has been great in the regular season and a huge + team overall, he was a -8 last year, and a -11 the year prior.

For the record, Dorsett was a -1 last year and Carcillo was even. Combined they had 7 goals and 11 points. Good thing we got rid of those guys and brought Glass in.

 

This guy better have his a** on the bench tonight. And Florida played last night, and went to a SO, and Luongo faced 34 shoots and the SO obviously. And the game is a little earlier start today because of NYE.

We better win this game. Play Hank tonight. Then let Cam play Saturday so Hank can be fully rested and ready for the very tough Cali trip.

Really AV? So why is it that you hated McIlrath from day one who had a good camp? You're full of crap AV. You obviously have some personal ties to this asswipe. All the more reason Sather needs to find some team to take him in a package deal.

 

There is NO DOUBT...like AV or hate AV...like Glass or hate Glass...NO DOUBT AV has some weird love for Glass. Cannot be argued IMO. I don't get it. It clearly hurts the team IMO. It clearly clouds his judgment IMO.

Hopefully he gets over it before it causes too much damage.
