Looks like Affliction is trying to get after the 30-something males with disposable incomes.

Megadeth, a thrash metal band from Los Angeles, will play a few songs at Affliction's Banned fight card in July.

In related news, Affliction reps are expecting people to buy their PPV and TiVO or DVR-record the UFC event and watch it later. Guess it depends on whether the same people buy the UFC event in early July and then have to decide on buying another PPV in the same month, or just watching the free event on Spike and then downloading the Affliction card or getting the results online.

Megadeth might sell some tickets to the live event but they won't get PPV buys, IMHO.

Now we just have to hope they don't try and play anything from their new album and we're good to go.

Dimebag Darrell got shot in the head onstage. It was crazy. Some guy from the audience jumped onstage with a gun, took the microphone, and yelled "you're the reason Pantera broke up!" and blew Darrells brains out right in front of a bunch of fans.

Megadeth appeared on WCW back in the day.

FTR; Metallica has gotten to pretentious and full of themselves now.

Wow. A reference to the Nickelback song Side of a bullet.
