Could be heading to Denver unless Dumars clears more cap room

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Nuggets, who will be in the market for a big man, will keep a close eye on Detroit's situation. They'd certainly consider offering Okur, averaging 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds, a deal starting at about $7 million if they knew the Pistons couldn't match.

Meanwhile, Detroit will attempt to make a trade by Thursday's deadline or try to entice Charlotte to take a certain player off its hands in the expansion draft. Candidates to be dispatched include guard Chucky Atkins (making $4.2 million next season), forward Corliss Williamson ($5.5 million) and center Elden Campbell ($4 million).

Why did Detroit sign Campbell anyways? His career is gone. About Okur, will he be a restricted or unrestricted FA?

i'd be very sad to see Memo leave Detroit. I really think he's got lots of potential.

he started off very soft and he favored his jumper a little too much. under the guidance of Larry Brown, he's become more willing to bang down low. now he's a double threat. he's got range all the way out to the three point line and he's got some post presence. i really, really hope he stays.

although, i'm not sure how much we should pay him. if Denver offers Memo too much money, i don't think we should overpay for Memo. especially when we are banking on Darko become a starter one day.

in a perfect world Memo will stay in Detroit because he loves us fans so much :P

I would give up Atkins, Williamson, Sura, Campbell, Rebraca, and even Prince to keep Okur. I mean, not all of them together, but I'd rather lose any of them than lose Okur. His offensive touch and inside presence is vital to the Pistons, any team wants a guy like him. If he goes, I hope the Celtics get him...but I don't want him to go, and I think Joe D will do whatever he can to keep him.

we signed him because everyone and their mother knew (and complained) we were lacking a post presence. with Memo developing his post game, elden is defintiely expendable, imo.

not sure about memo's contract status. i;d like to know as well.

I would expect Williamson and Atkins to be traded togeather to help clear cap room for re-signing Okur. Dumars will make a trade It's just a matter of "who"

    To answer the above question

Okur is a restricted free-agent at the end of the season
