To me this is a very hard comparision becuase they are very similar. I think the Grizzlies will go farther in the playoffs than the Clippers due to seeding, but i think the Clippers are better. The Clippers just have the disadvantage and bad luck of playing either the Mavericks or the Spurs.Point Guard-ClippersSam Cassell is a better point gaurd than Chucky Atkins and Damon Stoudamire. Stoudamire is done for the season with an injury, but i'd go with Cassell. Better floor leader, better passer, better scorer. Shooting Guard-GrizzliesIts Eddie Jones vs. Cuttino Mobley. Both are gifted scorers, but Jones actaully plays defense. Small Foward-ClippersCorey Maggette vs Shane Battier. Advantage Clippers. Maggette is a better scorer, while Battier is known more for his defense. Maggette is just more explosivePower Foward-PushElton Brand vs Pau Gasol. In Reality, your practically seeing the same player. both elite fowards in the leagueCenter-ClippersChris Kaman vs. Lorenzen Wright. Kaman the better scorer, rebounder, and defender. Nice Complament to Brand. I dont think any of us thought Kaman would be this good.Bench-ClippersI think they have a better bench with Livingston,Vladimir Radmanovic, Queitin Ross, Zeljko Rebraca, Daniel Ewing, and James Singleton Compared to Memphis's Mike Miller, Bobby Jackson, Jake Tsakalidis, Brian Cardinal, and Warrick and Jones. Overall i think the Clippers are better.

I actually disagree. The Clippers might look better on paper but the Grizzlies have better chemistry. The Grizzlies defense can be stifling at times. Also you forgot about Bobby Jackson. PG Clippers. Cassell and Livingston make a great combo point guard but Atkins and Bobby Jackson aren't that bad eitherSG GrizzliesEddie Jones is a lot better than Cuttino Mobley. Jones can guard both small forward and Shooting guards and was a key player to the Heat last year.SF Grizzlies. Though Maggette is a good offensive player, he will hurt their chemistry I feel because he will take the ball out Brand's, Kaman's, and Cassell's hands and he also plays poor defense. Battier is a beast on defense and even though he doesn't score a lot is a key to the Grizzlies chemistry. PF Clippers. Though Gasol is having a great year, Brand is having an even better year. Luckily he hasn't played his best against Dallas but when he is on is a beast.C Clippers. Lately though the Grizzlies are getting a lot of Jake T. and Lorenzen Wright is doing alright. It is really close here now. Bench GrizzliesThough the Clippers might have a deeper bench, quality beats quantity in the playoffs. Mike Miller is the best 6th man in the league imo. Bobby Jackson and Jake Tsakolitis are also achieving.

I like the Clippers due to the Veteran leadership of Sam Cassell, and obviously because of the often overlooked for MVP Elton Brand. The Clipps also have a deeper bench.

I think the main thing that is different between these 2 teams is defense. The Grizzlies are a lot stronger at it which makes them a much stronger team since they are also a big offensive threat. As for the Clippers, they have way 2 many offensive type guys which has screwed them quite a few times this season. If the Clips got much better densively, then they would kick <Censored> in the regular season and in the playoffs.

Grizzlies, they are a better all-around team..Great defensive team (among the leaders in the league in opponent ppg)..They have a solid bench (6th man of the year candidate Mike Miller highlights their reserves) and solid, veteran role players around Pau Gasol and Battier..

Thats why i said the Grizzlies would go farther. But i agree with you on whoever plays the Nuggets will have the better chance to go farther in the postseason.
