<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Memphis Grizzlies selected UCLA forward-center Kevin Love with the fifth overall pick in the NBA draft on Thursday night. Love, who helped lead the Bruins to their third straight Final Four this season, had an unbelievable college season, earning first-team All-America honors. He also was the Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year and was the second freshman in league history to earn the honor. The 6-10 Love also was named the conference's Freshman of the Year and was tabbed first-team All-Pac-10. Love led UCLA in points (17.7), rebounds (10.6) and blocks (1.4) in his only season in Westwood. He posted 23 double-doubles in 39 games while shooting 56 percent from the field, 77 percent from the foul line and 35 percent from the arc. What he lacks in ideal power-forward height and athleticism, he makes up for in fundamentals and intelligence, showing an understanding of the game well beyond his years. An old-school player, Love perfected the lost art of the outlet pass and has shown an uncanny ability to make full-court shots. The latter certainly won't be needed, but Love's skills cannot be doubted. The Grizzlies, who traded center Pau Gasol to the Los Angeles Lakers this season, need a lot of help up front - and Love is a start.</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
I predict that joke getting stale before the NBA season even starts. Anyways, the Grizz also chose Donte Greene 28th. They've stockpiled some very athletic swingmen.
And both picks have been traded Trade 1: Love, Mike Miller and Parts for OJ Mayo and Parts Trade 2: Greene and a future second for Arthur So 4 PG's (Conley, Lowry, Crittenton and Jaric) Mayo and Buckner Gay Warrick, Arthur and Shimmy Darko

And this trade was after they traded Chalmers to Miami....hmmmm. Minneosta must be looking to pick up a backup PG as a free agent......hmmmm...Duhon anybody? He was a very under rated backup
