The all-new 9G-Tronic automatic transmission is making its world debut in the Mercedes-Benz E 350 BlueTEC, which is now on sale in Europe. No word on when or where exactly it will become available next. According to the German automaker, this 9-speed autobox helps achieve 5.3L/100km (based on NEDC standards), for instance by allowing speeds of 120 km/h in 9th gear with the engine revving at around 1,350 rpm only.
