We have the lowest ERA in the league buddy. Green is a nice addition because Floyd has been injured and we dont know what we're gonna get out of Milledge. Green is a proven hitter who can rejuvenate his career in NY side by side with his Best friend Delgado.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rex Grossman 8 @ Aug 22 2006, 02:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>D-Backs, Mets complete deal for Green Don't the Mets need pitching? :laughpoint:</div>Not really.Pedro is only on the DL as a 'Precaution', but in reality the only 'precaution' is against wearing him out so they're giving him some time off to rest his body, then he can come back in Mid September and work out the kinks in a few starts before October comes. 9-5, 3.84 ERA on the Year.Tom Glavine is only going to miss a week in his injury. Glavine?s angiogram revealed a small blood clot, which can treated with Blood-thinners?so hes going to be back and ready to pitch sometime next week likely. 12-6, 3.92 ERA on the Year.Steve Trachsel - 12-5, 4.79 ERAOrlando Hernandez - 7-5, 4.85 ERA (His stats are from his time with the Mets only, not to mention you guys should know from last year and his numerous World Series titles that he is Mr. Clutch once the playoffs begin.)John Maine - 3-3, 2.68 ERA (Our best pitcher over the past month)_________________________Now back on topic though, Shawn Green is a nice player who can fill in for Cliff Floyd while hes on the DL. When Cliff Floyd gets back though I guess the Mets have to make a choice between playing Shaun Green, Cliff Floyd, or Lastings Milledge in the 2 corner outfielder spots. I guess they could afford to keep all 3 on the roster and do some sort of platoon, but it should be interesting to watch to see who plays for the New York Mets in Left and Right field. At least now If the Mets make the World Series we dont have to wonder who is going to be the DH.

We should send down Milledge. This way he'll get a lot more playing time in triple A to get better. We really dont need em. The starting OF's should be Beltran, Green, and Tucker. Chavez off the bench.

Although the AAA season ends soon which is why there is September call-ups which Lastings will likely be a part of.
