I really expected this series to go 7 games. 6 at the very least.

So did I. But then, I believe the Cubbies performed thru the Season, and getting to the NLCS, is basically an early fulfillment and/or exceeded expectations. Look out for them in years to come. The Cubs and Astro's IMO, will win a LCS in the next 2 year, in my original 2014 prediction.......
Bet you didn't know I've got a glass fortune tellers ball did ya'....:swami:

    Make that 4-0 now.

You know as happy as I am for the Mets I can't help but feel bad for the Cubs. But like Rob said, they should be pretty good for the next few years.

Good pitching will always win out over
    good hitting..........in Championship games.....
    for that matter, anytime.
Always thought Mets' pitching was the unknown wildcard
    in this series.

It looks like the Mets are simply going to role their way to a championship. The Royals or Blue Jays are not going to be able to beat them. The endless pitching they can throw at you is simply not fair.

On a lighter note, the Cubs should give Schwarber a helmut, a bat, and burn his glove.
Prior to the DH - we used to say about fielders such as him:
    His "position" is left-out.

The guy looks like a drunken Frankenstein monster out there.
Turns singles into "doubles" and "triples".
And the Cubs' 3rd and 4th starters are meatballs.
Better off they lose the NLCS, it would've hurt more getting hammered in the WS by KC or Toronto.

Young Guns, very reminiscent of the 88 Mets, in several ways. Both had Young SP's and RP's, a big bopper too; while the Mets lost in P.S. but had beaten L.A. 10 of 11 games, during the Season.....a flip reversal of fate this year.

(who knew both Doc K, and Strawberry were Cocaine Cowboys?)

and- the Mets beat the Bums 10 out of 11 In-Season games, only to lose the NLCS to those fkng Lasorda Bums. Did I ever say, "I hate Tommy Lasorda?"

That's 7 post season homers and homers in six straight post season games. I've never seen anything like it.

His post season is just ridiculous. His numbers in nine games.

    16/38 .421 11 Runs 7 HRs 11 RBIs

Congrats to the Mets, a masterful post season thus far. They are the team to beat.

They will rick, but unfortunately for them the mets young stable of stud pitchers is only getting better and next year they add wheeler to the rotation. As long as they either sign or replace murphy and cespedes bats they will be pretty big favorites for the world series for the next 3 to 5 years till they start losing some of the pitchers to free agency as most of them will be 20 mill plus pitchers at that point

Never saw a sweep in this series. Are the Yankees
taking note how their crosstown rivals reached
the 2015 World Series?........I doubt it!
It is called home grown excellent pitching.
Wrap your head around this Mr.Cashman!
