    Mexican fighter Tomas Rojas beat Kohei Kono by a unanimous decision Monday to capture the vacant WBC super flyweight title.

    The 30-year-old Rojas dominated his Japanese opponent in the early rounds and survived being knocked down in the final round to improve to 34-12, including 23 knockouts, with one draw.

    Kono dropped to 25-5 with nine knockouts.
