I wanna see him grab a defensive rebound, then immediately shoot a full-court bounce-shot! Obviously only in the 4th quarter of a blowout.
I suspect it would only be counted as a 2-pointer since it would have bounced inside the 3-point arc. Anybody know for certain?

I don't think so...one of the refs needs to chime in, but I was under the impression that it was where the shooter was when it left his hand.

We used to have the discussion of , if on a FB, why not jump full speed from the 3ptline (instead of like Jordan at the foul line) and shoot a 6' finger roll for 3 instead of a layup....isn't that something you think players practice?

The 6' finger roll, when taking off behind the 3-point line, would definitely be worth 3 points. But there's a fundamental difference between that and the Meyers bounce-shot, in that the ball comes in contact and then leaves from the 2-point area of the floor. I think it should be awarded 3-points just due to level of difficulty, but I suspect it would be ruled a loose ball once it hit the floor.

My first thought would be that the accuracy of such a shot would be much lower than a standard 2pt dunk/layup. PPS on breakaway dunks is likely 1.98. You'd have to be able to hit that 6' finger roll at least 2 out of 3 to make it worth it. But then again, if you're really all alone, you'd probably have a pretty high probability of getting the offensive rebound in the event that you did miss.

Sounds like time for a study.
