http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2015/12/meyers_leonard_1.html At least he's aware he's playing like hot trash. A few key lines from the article Over the last six games, Leonard has made 1 of 19 three-pointers and is shooting 28.6 percent from the field (12 for 42) "I know it's not because of me. But, certainly, if I was playing to where I know I can, we would have a better record." It was the latest forgettable night in what has become a December to forget for a player who seemed poised for a breakout season. ""I have to continue to fight through it," he said. "I haven't played to my ability and my expectations. There's added pressure, there's new levels of expectations — out of myself, the fans, (the media), my coaches, my teammates — and I haven't played to those expectations." "I think Noah is playing well" - Stotts (wtf) ""I know I'm a starter in this league — period," Leonard said. "I feel like I bring something different to the table. I feel like the game, the NBA itself, is transitioning into spacing, scoring, being able to guard multiple positions, being able to switch on pick-and-rolls. I have to get better. There's no question." ""I just want him to know that we're in his corner," - Lillard
My goodness its like Meyers was suppose to be a star or something? lol I dont get what the big deal is, most likely we knew he was a scrub and its turning out to be somewhat true.. Why is this such a big deal
Selling high would have been when he was starting. Right now we would be selling low. I'd love for Meyers to keep playing like shit and get signed to a cheaper contract. The dude has some skills, he's just gotta find a way to put it all together.
Meyers really wanted to be the third best player on the team and have a leadership role but neither has happened. I always thought guys like Cliff Alexander were kicking his butt in practice and he lost his confidence. Man I took a lot of crap this summer when I suggested selling high on him. After the Grizzlies series his value was peaking. I hope he turns it around
I have an idea, how about Meyer take a lot more shots within 10 feet of the rim like a big man should!
The $10 per Coors Light at the Moda Center leaves him both refreshed and irritated. It's amazing to see.
I think he means he looks after all the other people who are also sitting on the bench with him, PG-SG-SF etc like if a stray bottle of powerade rolls around or if they need a wall of bricks made.
