The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports the Miami Heat have picked up Mario Chalmers' $854,389 team option for the 2010-11 season. Chalmers, Michael Beasley and Daequan Cook are the only players right now who have fully guaranteed salaries for next season. All three are eligible to be traded. The Heat have a lot of salary cap room and the objective is to have another All-Star to play along side Dwyane Wade. Even though Chalmers' option was picked up, the team will try to upgrade the point guard position via the draft, trades or free agency. South Florida Sun-Sentinel
