[imgr]http://www.nba.com/media/act_jason_caffey.jpg[/imgr]A week ago, Riley cryptically offered that he was "watching the waiver wires very carefully, just watching to see if something breaks loose."

Apparently, that watch is focusing on power forwards.
While the plan remains to open the season with the wiry Odom at power forward, Riley has stressed since the start of camp that "we need a big-big banger. We're going to need a defender, someone who is smart and savvy, and been around and can defend."

That could have Riley casting an eye toward just-released Bucks power forward Jason Caffey. Riley also has been monitoring the status of unsigned veteran Tyrone Hill.

"I do think that's the one position that we will have to fortify," Riley said. "I think we're going to have to get a prototype in there. That's one position that's pretty much unsettled right now."

Former Florida forward Udonis Haslem stated his case Friday, with 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting and eight rebounds in 22 minutes.

"I thought he was great," Riley said.</div>

If Riles needs a banger, why aren't they going after Mason?

Because Mason has been in Miami and he did not pan out so they dont want to walk that path again
