<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Miami Heat: Rookie Dwyane Wade, drafted fifth overall by Miami, sprained his left ankle late in the second quarter of the Heat's 77-75 preseason win over the Magic on Saturday, and didn't return.

He had six points on 3-of-10 shooting.

The injury is not considered serious, but it is uncertain when Wade will play again.

Coach Pat Riley would like the rookie to continue playing hard. But he also would prefer that Wade protect himself in the process.

"He never taped [his ankles] in college, so now he's wearing these anklets that give him some support," Riley said. "But he plays so hard and cuts so hard and jumps so hard that he's going to have to learn to play with tape. He doesn't like it."

Wade said his foot swelled slightly as he spent the second half in the locker room, but X-rays were negative. He remains confident it is a minor setback.</div>

Miami gets hit by the injury bug once again. This franchise has been cursed by injuries the last few years, first Caron Butler, and now Wade. Fortunately it was not, too serious and Miami remained undefeated in pre-season so far. His minutes will likely be shared by Rafer Alston and Bimbo Coles.
