The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has acquired forwards Antoine Walker and Wayne Simien and center Michael Doleac, along with a first-round draft pick and financial considerations from the Miami Heat in exchange for center Mark Blount and guard Ricky Davis.

Blount and Davis came to the Wolves in a January 2006 trade with the Boston Celtics. In 124 appearances with Minnesota, Blount averaged 11.6 ppg and 5.7 rpg while shooting 50.8% from the floor. In his seven seasons the Pittsburgh alum has averaged 8.3 ppg and 4.8 rpg while playing in 516 contests with Minnesota, Boston (two stints) and Denver. Davis played in 117 games with the Wolves and tallied 16.8 ppg while adding 4.1 rpg and 4.8 apg. He shot 45.2% from the field and 36.5% from three point range while with Minnesota. The 28-year-old guard has played with Minnesota, Boston, Cleveland, Miami and Charlotte and averaged 14.4 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 3.5 apg in 582 games.

I've hated Miami sinceit swept us in the first round.Ihate theWade calls. I never liked Shaq. Jason Williams and Antoine Walker are wahed-out wannabes.I thought nothingwould happen tothat teamthis offseason. Instead,it got younger and more athleticwith this trade.Davis and Blount are going to get better under Riley. It should beanother team towatch out forin the East.

Don't forget about Zo. He tried to screw us over pretty bad, and was a total prick...but hey, he got us Vince, so I guess it's all good.

Miami is just unfair. Really, they're just one of the teams now that gets all the breaks, like San Antone.

I'm biaswith Zo coz I like him a bit. When Shaq first got into the league and Zo was draftedafter him, Iwent forZo in that rivalry. That Charlotte team he played for with LJand Mugsy was fun. And I like the factthat he blocks a lotof shots even though he's undersized.Too bad itdidn't work out with him and the Nets. It was also his fault, but hisasshole attitude's always been one of the thing's I likedin him. It's a shame he play's for the Heat. That team is really unfair!

I thought that was Antoine Walker. Anyway, getting rid of Walker and Doleac should make up for that. Riley's been trying to lose them since the start of offseason. Let's see that makes the Heat first five: Shaq, Haslem, Walker, Wade, Jason Williams. Oh boy! I just realize they also have Smush on their team. That's funny!

Davis and Blount for a out of shape chucker and two end of the bench players is a steal, the first rounder could come back to bite them in the butt but they needed more immediate help. This move will pay huge dividens when Wade returns and help them keep their heads above water until then. Miami just went back to being a pain in the butt of the Nets again with this one move.

Let's not forget ex-Net Kendall Gill, too. What was the deal with that team tho'? I seem to recall that everyone didn't get on together that great.

They couldn't keep Zo because they paid too much for LJ. They traded him for Glen Rice. Also, Zo and LJ didn't get along.

O'Neal will turn a lot of heads this year. When the guy wants to prove something....look out down below. He can carry this team until Wade gets back.
