I figured Id put a different spin on this and throw out two less talked about names. Both of these players have not lived up to their expectations as Olowakandi was the first overall pick and Jerome James was signed to a $30 million contract by the Knicks last season. Who would you rather have? Which one of these guys is more likely to turn his career around and get on track to make a difference for a team?
Both of these guys suck, so it's hard to pick. I'll go with Kandi though. He has much better career numbers and this year he is averaging 5 and 4, compared to Jerome's 3 and 2. And Kandi is talented, seeing as he was a top 3 pick. As for who will turn it around? Both of these guys have about 2 or 3 years left, they are both middle age and havnt gotten anywhere. So none of the above.
Oh Yuck. Two big for nothings. But i'll take the candy man. Just cause last year or so he got hit with a tazer in a club. hes cool
Heh, i made this comparision a few months ago. Sadly there wasnt much discussion on it. Only 5 posts :no1: Anyways, I'd take Olowakandi because i at least think he is in better shape than James and could give a few minutes and rebounds as a 2nd or 3rd string center.
yea both these guys had hight hopes with the sonics and the clippers and it didnt really work out why? well injury is one thing and the other is work ethic.Both players were lazy and stubborn in the offseason and it led to kandi man getting traded and jerome james signing with new york so idk i remember olowakandi was training with kareem abdul-jabar in his earlier days meaning kandi man must know the fundamentals i guess.Owlowakandi is a better rebounder in my opinion ill just go with the kandi-man
Wow. The battle of the wasted talent giants. Anyway, I say Kandi-Man is better because he is not fat, and he actually is a real good rebounder and a good guy. James is full of himself and doesn't even try. Plus even then, Kandi put up decent numbers with the Clippers early in his career. Jerome James had what, 1 good playoff series?
Honeslty I highly dobt neither will turn their career around. Both players are pretty darn bad and sont seem to want to get much better especially James. I mean really they both have talent just dont seem to care at all. I say both never get any better and continue to watse their careers.
I'll take the Kandi Man just because he has actually put up decent numbers in his career and is not overweight. James has one good playoff series where everything went his way basically, and every team in the market was desperate to get him...I actually think he can become decent if he gets some PT, but whatever.
I think Kandi man is the better player, even though he is the biggest bust in the history of the NBA. Jerome James had one ok season and an ok Post season, and that is all he has made his name for. Kandi man has been at least an ok player for most of his career.

But the only reason he was considered such a big bust is because of all of the hype that was circulated around him. People get too out of hand with expectations and comparisons.

He had two good games in the playoffs and Isiah Thomas decided that was worthy of a $30 million contract.

Yeah, that's Isiah's GM skills for you. God he's absolutely terrible. How is the hell is it possible to have the 2nd (or 3rd) worst record in the league, yet have the highest payroll?
To add to that, the backcourt of Francis and Marbury alone is paid more than the Pistons starting lineup and the entire Bobcats payroll..
