Texas Rangers veteran infielder and designated hitter Michael Young has been reinstated from the paternity list. Utility infielder Luis Hernandez was designated for assignment to make room for Young on the roster.

Young is batting sixth and is the designated hitter in Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Young left in the middle of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Twins when his wife, Cristina Barbosa, went into labor with the couple's third child, Antonio. It's the Youngs' third boy, joining Mateo (7) and Emilio (2).
