Magic mike: The Bears' incredible good luck charm struck again Sunday, as defensive end Alex Brown became the latest player to have a career day while wearing a microphone. The fourth-year pro from Florida registered two sacks, forced a fumble that led to the Bears' only touchdown, broke up four passes and drew an intentional grounding penalty. Other players who've enjoyed career days while being miked up by the Bears broadcasting department include Nathan Vasher (NFL-record 108-yard TD return of a missed field goal), Charles Tillman (interception return for a TD in overtime), Desmond Clark (two TD catches) and Tank Johnson (two sacks). "I think that's coincidental, I honestly do," Brown said. "I really don't think the mike has anything to do with how well you play, but all year it's proven that whoever wears it has a big day." When pressed, however, Brown admitted that he's a bit superstitious. "I asked to wear it," he said with a laugh. "I needed a big day."
