Microsoft has been the main force around making personal computing affordable and available for all since a very early stage. I know people like to whine about how successful and rich they become and how many issues they had - but they were the first company to basically tackle the issue of billion+ customers. Anyone that thought this was not going to be a challenge has no idea how technology in general and software specifically works. So, Microsoft as a force for good, in the great balance of things, certainly and has been for a long time. Does not mean that they made a lot of stupid mistakes along the way or used their power improperly at times.
I worked with a woman once who was a Mac fanatic and hated Microsoft. I went to Portland to see the Blazers and there was Bill Gates sitting by Paul Allen. I used a long lens to shoot a photo of the two of them. When I showed it to her she gave that warding off a vampire gesture. Still have that pic in one of my albums.

The internet is the real DEEP STATE...the only way to avoid it is to destroy your computer and modem immediately! Destroy your cell phone as well..log off immediately and protect yourself!!
