<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Lakers center Chris Mihm will undergo surgery on his right heel and sit out about four to six weeks. Mihm's right ankle has been surgically repaired twice, and he has been sidelined since Dec. 23 because of bursitis in his right heel and a sore Achilles' tendon in his right foot.</div> Los Angeles Times
At least it's his heel this time, and not his ankle? I don't know, just looking for some kind of optimism.
Mihm is done. He seems to be breaking down everywhere. His body is no longer fit to play in the NBA. I feel bad for him, he seems like a great guy, but sometimes, things just don't work out the way they are supposed to. I personally believe it will take nothing short of a miracle for Mihm to play another game this season, maybe even next.

He'll make another 2.75 next year for possibly not doing jack, and he gets to watch the Lakers courtside.
At the end of the 2006-07 season, Mihm made 23 mill in his career over 8 years (average of slightly less than 3 mill per year), but Brian Grant made like 43 mill from the Lakers over a mere 3 years. (average around 14 mill, and he did very little) Mihm played 75 games and 59 games the first two years for the Lakers playing an average of 25 mpg. He shot 50.7% FG% and 50.1% FG%. And putting up 9.8 ppg and 10.2 ppg in 25 mpg is pretty good production. Obviously a lot of that was created by the well-run system that PJax has made. He wouldn't have been as efficient in other systems. Not bad for a guy who should be a back up center.
