This seems like a case of a youngster struggling to play at the level required for a contender. If you were on the Nets, for example, you could afford some of the lapses that Hickson has had, as games are somewhat less important during a rebuilding phase. However for a contending team you really can't afford lapses as simple as slack D or not boxing out. Hickson has shown the quality he possesses with some of his performances this year, but really lacks the consistency required. I like the extended run that Mike Brown is giving him, and hopefully JJ can repay that faith by keeping his concentration and intensity up. Perhaps they would be best off cutting his minutes to maybe 10 minutes a game on the basis that he should be able to concentrate better for that length of time.

From a non-cavs fan's perspective, how does anyone else rate Hickson at this point?
