Mike Carp didn't need a line drive, a deep shot or to hit into the gap. His little bloop dropped in perfectly for the Boston Red Sox. Carp's pinch-hit floater dropped just beyond the glove of Baltimore third baseman Manny Machado in the eighth inning, scoring Jarrod Saltalamacchia from second with the tiebreaking run and lifting the Red Sox to a 4-3 win over the Orioles on Wednesday night.
