I was just watching the Seahawks welcome back coverage on Northwest Cable News.

Holmgren just said, "I knew it was going to be tough beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Detroit. I didn't know we were going to have to play the guys in the stripped shirts too."

    Some one gonna get fined.

Holmgren's gotten fined before this season on divulging a NFL apology.

Love the comment though. He may not get fined because everyone's pissed at the NFL and I doubt the NFL wants to get even more hate mail.

The picture of him this morning on Headline News reminded of an old cheer we useed to back in H.S. whenever The zebras jobbed us; "Nuts & bolts, Nuts & bolts, we got screwed"

This whole XL sham reminds me of the NBA about 10 years ago when the Sonics, Blazers, & Jazz were all among the elite. They too would get shafted by the refs whenever the played anyone else.

If he gets fined woulden't the same be applied to Joey Porter who also made comments about the refs?

I am 95% certain Big Swede (Favre's nickname for Holmgren) is LDS/Mormon like yours truly. There is no way "one of us" could ever say something out of line. LOL.

p.s. No deals were cut in giving MH a nickname.

If people were to get fined for pissy comments about the league, that the media doesn't like, or just in general then I see Saban being public enemy #1.

I think Holmgren might get away with it, maybe in the middle of the season he would have been fined but not just after the superbowl.

I don't see how the league can allow this to continue w/o some sort of penalty. What Mike did was even worse b/c it was scripted. The league is setting a bad precedent & if they don't come down hard on these guys soon it's only going to get worse.
