He would be a good signing for the Twolves because they need some substance at Guard. All they have is Marko Jaric and THud, and Randy Foye too, because Banks is likely leaving. I say Jaric is gone too. So that leaves a crappy player who can only score points by shooting, and an NBA rookie. They need some help there.

I think they should get a pass-first PG. Randy Foye is Mike James (combo guard) only he has more upside and doesn't complain.

They will be trying to sign him.

I'm pretty sure Marcus Banks is jumping ship.

Mike James would be a great fit for Minnesota since he's the closing they have to what Cassell was for them. I think KG can't handle all the scoring so they need another scorer so this would be a great fit for Mike James.

If James will go for the MLE I think it might be good for the Wolves.

Yep. Some good points there. Scoring is a thing the Wolves need. Also, KG gets shy in the clutch. Mike is a guy who wont back down in the final minutes, and isnt afraid to take the final shot.

Banks is as good as gone, he'll most likely sign with the Lakers. Jaric had a very crappy year this year, and Troy Hudson is nothing but bench material. James wouldnt be a good PG for them, imo. They need a PG who can distribute the ball between Ricky Davis and Kevin Garnett. Mike James is a shoot-first PG.

James is basically the only pg left in FAgency. And plus, the Wolves need another guy capable of scoring 20 anyway.

Ever heard of Jason Terry? He still hasnt been re-signed by Dallas. Besides, Minnesota doesnt have to go into free agency anyways if they want to get a PG. They could always work out trades, y'know...Edit: Randy Foye could start as well.

Thats why they want to sign him. Also, I doubt they want Foye starting just yet, and they are very weak at PG currently. They obviously need some help there, and Mike is pretty much the only option.

As a wolves fan I would love to get Mike James. We needed fourth quarter scoring, and he can score and was a league leader in 3 point %, another team need. We could revive the three headed monster.James=Cassell (Both shoot first, clutch)KG=KGRicky>Sprewelland we got Foye and McCants to compliment a similar bench.

I can see Mike James fitting in in Minny very well. Id wouldn't be a bad pick-up for Minny if they do get him.

well, i can imagine he is more expensive than marcus banks but it looks like banks wont be back (hopefully in a laker uniform) so james would be a good fit for the Twolves, hes quick, creates his own shot, and shoots well,my only question mark on him is his passing,is he willing to distribute the ball more? i think hes capable of it but only time will tell

Unless they offer him 4 or more years I can't see him going to Minnesota seeing as Houston and Dallas have already offered him the MLE. Although he might just to get a lot of minutes.
