<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">With the Big Three and Boki Nachbar firing up enough bricks to build the new Nets arena in Brooklyn, it was up to Mikki Moore to try to save the Nets season Tuesday night. Time and again, he was open underneath and out at the perimeter, the recepient of passes from Vince Carter and Jason Kidd. And unlike his teammates, he delievered again. Moore is likely to be rewarded big time this summer, but the loss Tuesday hurt.</div> Source
Moore has played fantastic for us ever since Krstic was out and became even better during the playoffs. Game by game. Moore needs to post up more often and become a better rebounder if he wants to help the team sin more games.
I'm still a bit sceptical about Mikki Moore. The guy could just be another Tim Thomas or Erick Dampier. It's funny how he made barely any noise for his entire career, and now that it's his contract year, his performance automatically sky-rockets. I'm not saying Mikki is all about the money, or that he hasn't improved, but if I'm an NBA GM, I'd really look into him before I give him that big check

Do players play better in their contract years. Which means, that we critize them for not playing hard when they are signed for a long term deal? Anyway, I think Moore is a guy who looks to improve everygame. He is a guy I would like on my team. He brings energy, and scoring. He has a good mid-range jumper, and is good on the fast-break with JKidd. I think Amir Johnson, or Jason Maxille, well be those type of players too, except better rebounders, and inside scorers.
Moore excelled this year because he was given much more of an opportunity. Nets had no one to go to, so Mikki got mins, and as a result he produced. Not to mention you have unselfish guys on the Nets, and they spread the ball around. He showed that he can play, and was given a big role. Of course money always has some kind of factor on a player.
I think Moore deserves an extension, but we can't go crazy and overpay him like other teams have with their big men.

The guy has played well, but like kobimel said, they can't go overboard on his contract. For a big guy, he doesn't get a ton of boards, and he's not exactly a big defensive presence down low.

Mark Jackson had him on the "You're Better Than That!" segment of the YES broadcast saying he should heighten his value in the offseason.

Kidd has made alot of players much better, and Moore is one of them.
