He'll make the team for us. Of course he'll have to show that he's worth keeping on the bench, but I'm sure that we'll keep him.
I know that Ainge felt he was mislead by Patterson and (perhaps) Pritchard in their representations to him about Telfair. Before he spun crap into gold by having his BFF McHale saving his bacon, that deal was a real embarrassment for Ainge and almost cost him his job. It wouldn't surprise me if Ainge wanted to stick it to the Blazers by telling Doc to put him on the floor for 30 seconds at the end of a blowout win (of which the Celts will have many) for 10 games. Darius is a sad tale. He could have been KG, but instead will be known as a waste of immense talent.
Could be. lol I'm hoping for more than 30 seconds per game though. They clearly saw something during the workouts he had privately with the Celtics, to give him a chance like this, with the championship team.
Clyde Drexler says he could still score 20 points in an NBA game. He also says he wouldn't be able to walk the next day. Maybe its like that with Miles. Maybe he can play a bit.... but his body isn't really durable enough to play regularly without breaking.
