<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Indiana Pacers guard Reggie Miller confirmed his intention to return for an 18th season during an appearance on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" on Wednesday night. "We were close this year," Miller told Kilborn, referring to the Pacers' loss to Detroit in the Eastern Conference finals. "I'm surrounded by a great nucleus of young players and a fantastic coach in coach (Rick) Carlisle. And I want to go after it one more time."</div> Full Story Not bad. He can still contribute to the team by knocking down his famous clutch shots.
It's alway nice to see veteran greats give up their aging bodies for their teams, and Reggie Miller has made the right decision in returning. The Pacers can very well win the championship next year, and it will be great if Miller can win it and call it quits after that. A championship as a giving away present would be as good as any.
That's the reason why I preferred Reggie to get a ring over Malone and GP. He's loyal to his team and will do anything to give them the championship. He doesn't care if he's the 3rd or 4th option but you can expect that clutch time is still Miller time baby!

He knows that even though he can still score 20 points any given night, he understands that there are now other offensive options on the team, and he does not have to take 18 shots in order to win. Also, his teammates and coach still have enough respect for him that they will get him the ball if he is feeling it.
Yeah this is what I like he isnt a sell out he is gonna stay with the Pacers until he gets a ring, I want him to get a ring out of all the ring-less legendary vets out there the most.
I think he will start, but damn why? I'm tired of that he is getting J.O. and Artest more room in the post, but ron on the SG....much better, because miller takes 8 shot's a game, and plays bad defense, so why!
Yeah I'm really glad to see Reggie returning...his loyalty and dedication to the franchise deserves a championship, and I'm rooting for him to get one before his illustrious career comes to an end...
I'm glad Reggie will return. He is one of the most loyal players ever. Even with everything he has gone through with Indiana, he still wants to play for them. I hope he will win a championship before the end of his career.
I'm glad hes staying. Reggie's been a warrior his whole career, and I hope he can end it with a championship, but it wil be tough.
