<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter refused to blame trade rumors for Toronto's latest embarrassing loss. Toni Kukoc scored 15 points and the Milwaukee Bucks ended a three-game losing streak with an 82-62 rout over the Raptors on Sunday. Tim Thomas and Michael Redd each had 14 points, and Joe Smith added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks. Carter had 15 points for the Raptors, who scored fewer than 70 points for the fourth time this season. Toronto scored less than 70 just four times in their history before this season. "We did not come ready to play, even guys not involved in trade rumors. Myself included," Carter said. "That has nothing to do with it. We could come out and win by 20 and everyone would say 'Oh, they aren't even worried about it." The Raptors have been involved in trade talks with the Bulls involving Toronto players Antonio Davis, Morris Peterson, Michael Bradley and possibly one other Toronto player to meet salary-cap requirements in exchange for Jalen Rose and Donyell Marshall, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein. Toronto GM Glen Grunwald said Sunday he's been more active making calls about trades, but doesn't appear to be close to making a deal with Chicago. "It's unfortunate that things get ahead of themselves like they have here," Grunwald said. Kukoc had five points as Milwaukee went on a 11-0 run in the second quarter to take a 31-21 lead. The Raptors didn't get closer than eight the rest of the way. "Maybe the trade rumors are hurting that team right now," Kukoc said. "It's not good when you have that feeling and you're still playing the game." Thomas' 3-pointer just before the end of the third quarter gave Milwaukee a 66-48 lead. Kukoc followed with two layups early in the fourth, and Smith and Damon Jones made jumpers, giving Milwaukee a 74-52 lead with 7:16 left. The Raptors shot 34 percent, compared to 43 for the Bucks. Milwaukee outrebounded Toronto 45-39. Toronto committed 18 turnovers.</div> Full Story Box Score ---------- 62 again!?!?! This is a disgrace to the game of basketball and to the NBA. When will Toronto find a deal?
This is the 4th time they have got around 60 points this season..This truely is a joke. The worst EVER PPG a team averaged in NBA history is 84..the Raptors are averaging just 76 points per game this season. They are set to make history the way they are going if they don't make a trade to get a scorer. It also looks like the Bulls/Raptors will not happen now.
Vince has some help, they are just not bringin' it. Morris Peterson, Lamond Murray, and Antonio Davis have shown in the past that they can be 15 ppg scorers, where have they been? They are only getting 30 points a game from those 3 combined to this point.

Lamond is a proven scorer .. do u remember his 17 PPG average as a Cavalier ? Moe P .. his normal 15 PPG would be more than enough if he brings it night in and night out ! Davis ? .. an All Star .. and a proven post player who averaged near 16 PPg last season? .. where is he ? .. the problem with most people .. that they look at the score board,, they see us in the 60s and think that Kevin O'neil only plays D .. He makes GREAT offensive plays for them .. but their shots just ain't falling .. take in exception Vince and Chris ! Vince could average 7 assissts easily if those guys step it up we don't really need scorers .. we need our scorers to score !
We Have some scorers. But Moron O Neill starts JYD and Curry and they combine for under 10ppg. We woudl be better on offence if we started Alvin, VC, Murray, Bosh, AD.

I agree with Kevin inthe way he managed the rotation .. he wants more offence in the second unit .. considering that the first unit consists of Alvin, AD and Vince .. he has to balance the rotation .. otherwise we're gonna start the first 5 mins of the second quarter on a 0-12 run or something similar !
They need to score badly. VC can't do it by himself. Under 70 pts 4 games is pathetic. (I can't say anything about pathetic though, with the way my fav team is playing).
I think the Raptors offensive sets are too long. The reason why I think the Raptors can't score is because in previous years, there have been some impatient players which caused them to shoot the ball earlier in the shot clock. Heres a fact: the raptors before this year they have only scored under 70 four times in franchise history, they've matched that total in the first 13 games. When you look at a team like Dallas you can see they dont use up all of the shot clock, thats why they score so much. The raptors under Kevin O'neil are shooting the ball very late in the shot clock which wastes game time. Then on the defensive side of the ball, they do a good job at making the other team do the same, that is one reason why Dallas was held to 71 pts, Minnesota to 73, Philly to 81 and New Jersey to 80. No team this year has scored 100 points on them. So after all this time is wasted, shooting late on offense and forcing them to shoot late on defence, all this time adds up, which is another reason why the Raptors aren't scoring enough. Your bound to make at LEAST 40% of you shots, if you don't have enough time to make atleast 40%, the result is a very low scoring basketball game. In previous years scoring hasn't been that much of a problem because they were shooting the ball earlier in the shot clock. I suggest O'neil should run some shorter offensive sets. This brings up another thing, no one on the Raptors exept for Vince Carter is averaging in double figures (pts), and most of the sets are run through him. Since the Raptors are waisting time on the offensive end, and not getting the ball off early enough, this wasted time could be used for plays for Lamond Murray, Chris Bosh, AD, etc. If the raptors were to not waist time, there would be a lot more pts on the scoreboard and this would have more Raptors in double figures.
