Minnesota has reached an agreement with Florida International's Richard Pitino to be the Gophers' new coach. "Richard Pitino has been selected as the finalist for the position of University of Minnesota men's head basketball coach," the school said in a statement. "Pitino and the university have reached an understanding in principle on the key terms of an agreement." "The terms of the agreement will be finalized later this week," the statement read. "Details of the agreement and further information regarding a scheduled press conference will be forthcoming." The two sides met Tuesday in Fort Myers, Fla., according to a source.
