Frank Mir has been irate at Joe Rogan and Minotauro Nogueira since the lead up to UFC 102. Mir is unhappy that both Rogan and Nogueira have been making excuses for Nogueira's knockout loss at UFC 92 in December, citing staph infection and lingering injuries as reasons for Nogueira's poor performance. Mir is scheduled to fight Cheick Kongo at UFC 107, his first fight back since losing to Brock Lesnar at UFC 100. Minotauro has let it be known that his excuses were legitimate and he wants to demonstrate that he had an off-night by beating Mir in a rematch in early December. So far the UFC has not announced any changes.
Mir is delusional if he thinks he fought a 100% Nogueira. I think it was obvious that the staph infection really fucked with Big Nog in that fight and completely drained him of his energy. Just compare Nog in that match to the Nog against Couture. If a rematch happens and both fighters are healthy, I've got Nog winning by UD.
