And then having Duncan turn them down after they went at him too hard as well, that stung. If I was a Magic fan when Shaq left, I would have commited suicide.
Not a chance. I think the magic will at some point turn this season around and make the playoffs. If they don't, I agree that Rivers and Gabriel are out, but I think the Magic won't open up the Jordan can of worms This slow start has taken out any air that was left in the fan base down here after the Detroit Deflation, however and that move would certainly help. We shall see I guess
The Magic are going to need to turn it around soon. They haven't been losing close games, they've been blowouts. They got whitewashed by the T-Wolves on Nat'l TV last night and my Knicks held them to something like 25% from the field. You sure aren't gonna win many games playing like that. As for Collins/MJ. It won't happen. Eventually Jordan will buy a team and at that point I think Collins may get another shot at coaching.
They are in the east, so of course they can still make the playoffs. This year it wouldnt suprise me if a losing record made the playoffs. Yeah the fan base is dead down here. The Magic have been through a lot of **** through the years. Things havent really changed since Nick Anderson screwed up. Shaq and Penny, and Darrell all left unhappy. We almost had Duncan but we get Grant Hill. The leauge also denied us the injury exception which would have landed us Kandi. And I wont even begin on the 3-1 playoff lead..
^^^ exactly. There are no Magic fans other than the diehards, like me, icebreaker, and liberty. A guy on the radio (Pat Lynch on 101.1) had a Magic license plate and turned it around, so noone could see he was a Magic fan. That's a fair weathered fan. I hate people like that, just support your team no matter what. The only person who sucked last night was Tmac, everyone else played good. Steven Hunter, Juwan Howard, Tyronn Lue all looked good last night. We played a good game last night against the Rockets.
Not often you can say that T-Mac was the reason we lost. I don't think that coaching has been the problem this year (as some would suggest). At this point last year we were 5-1 and didn't exactly keep that pace up for the whole year. No reason to believe that because of the start this year anything will be any different. If we can be hovering around .500 come March, all we need is to get hot and have momentum going into the playoffs.
