They were hardly a dynasty at that point.

I love Jordan and what he did for our organization, but he should never have come back out of retirement after that shot over Brian Russel to seal the sixth title. You don’t mess with a story book ending. I really hope he comes back to the organization in some type of front office position soon. He is Chicago and needs to be involved with this team some how.

Damn I really hope MJ hangs tight, and waits for Reinsdorf to retire to then buy the Bulls. It just wouldn't seem right for him to own any other franchise.

How old is Reinsdorf? He must be close to hanging it up, he got a ring with the Bulls and the White Sox, what else could he want?

Sounds like a good idea. Retire early 70s and have atleast 10 years of kicking back not worrying about a thing.

In those two seasons with the Wizards, Michael had a myriad of highlights and great moments that many stars today havent had in their whole careers. How can you possibly say he ruined his career?-- Esp. supposedly comming from <font color=""Red"">Jordan</font> fans

I think he is talking about the ending of his career. Like I said I didn’t like seeing him come back, and ruin the story book ending he had to his career, game winner in game six of the NBA finals over Bryan Russel. I also hated seeing him in a Wizards uniform. It just didn’t seem right. However, I watched every Wizards game (Jordan played in) during that two year period, and was even at his farewell game in Philadelphia.

WHY do people call Tiger Woods an athlete? What is athletic about golf? there is no running jumping or impact either low or high. as far as i'm concerned if it doesn't alter your heart rate it is NOT ATHLETIC. period. it's as athletic as chess.

Second of all, this 1-2 ranking seriously underestimates the global stardom of soccer players. I wouldn't be surprised if David Beckham and Ronaldo are right now way more famous worldwide than Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Kobe or anyone else. Soccer is WAY more global than basketball or golf. the world cup was broadcast in 213 countries. how many countries was the Masters broadcast in? the final game was watched by 1 BILLION people. How many people watched the final round of Augusta? 10 million? That is ONE-HUNDREDTH of the world cup audience.

As much as I love MJ (I even have him hitting the final shot framed in my room), the fact that he pushed off on Byron Russell kind of takes away from the moment, and he made another comeback so it really wasn't his last shot.....oh well.

I just scrolled through the 60 moments -- that was one anti-Laker and pro-MJ list...

Fisher 0.4 was top 10 alltime for me. I mean that was the most SURREAL thing I've seen in any sport ever.

And Kobe's shot against the Suns this year to send it to OT was definitely top 40

kobes shot against the suns doesn't belong there....not trying to sound kobe haterish, but there were better moments in playoff history (even for kobe)

    The definition of athlete is....

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A person possessing the natural or acquired traits, such as strength, agility, and endurance, that are necessary for physical exercise or sports, especially those performed in competitive contexts.</div>

Golf requires strength when driving the ball, and is a physical exercise it is a sport. There for the people that compete in it are athletes.

I agree soccer athletes are way more well known globally then NBA stars or golf stars. So I don’t know how accurate that list was. Maybe it was most recognizable American athletes. I can see Michael Jordan globally, because basketball has expanded pretty much to every continent, but I don’t know about golf. Names like Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, and even Beckham are recognizable world wide.

I don't see how it's anti-Laker considering they have three plays in the top ten all time. This poll was taken before the playoffs this season I believe (it would have to be for them to get this show ready in time) so that is probably why Kobe's shot isn't there. If it was I don't think it would be top 40 there have been many game winners throughout history. It was a great shot, but not anything that hasn't been done before. I agree with you about the Fisher shot it should be somewhere there.

hey jordan is the best ever, and this shot against russell was wow, after a great defensive play he made a great shot, and what happen in that play was that Jordan was goin to the basket but russell felt hey Jordan have a great control of his body and the he step back and took the shot, nobody could take anything to that shot.
