MLB calls in an airstrike

Per ESPN News the Field and General Managers of the Astros are suspended for a year. Sock it to 'em. Betcha Cora is shaking in his boots over his fate. LMAO over this one
Cora and the Sox should get a worse punishment. They were warned in 2017 about cheating and then continued to do so. I also laugh at the $5M “fine” that the Astros were given. Add a zero or two to that fine to deter other franchises from cheating MLB. A $5M fine is barley a slap on the wrist.

It shows you how bad this really was. Makes the Patriots past situation seem minor. It's absurd to have engaged in such blatant behavior.

5 Million is peanuts to these 2 teams and most others.
When MLB:
  • denies TV revenue for future games, say a year or so;
and/or-
  • calls forfeiture of Awards/Trophies as well as-
  • disallowing these teams a postseason birth;
Then and only then will penalties be taken seriously...

Anything less than permanent dismissal from MLB, will a slap on the hands.

^^^^^Imagine penalizing the Yankees 5 million! What a f’king joke! Let’s see what Baseball hierarchy
does to their beloved Red Sox.......Alex Cora should be unemployed.....soon. Can Manfred & company
act on that?

You know what’s funny......Yankees tried to cheat but failed miserably under BaBoone.
You can’t make this shit up. LOL

Love the way they do business in baseball. IF ALL ELSE FAILS_____CHEAT!

Like I said in the other thread, the PLAYERS need to be held accountable too.

Note to those fired thus far, it aint what you do its what you get caught doing. Your atta boys were canceled by a huge ah shit. Don't fee me that crap about how honored you were for your positions your actions reflected none at all. The more they catch and burn those Involved the better it will be for the game. All this in the 100th anniversary of the Black Sox Scandal. I wonder what the newest Yankee former Astro has to say about this situation.

I thought about you during the Ravens’ debacle. Really thought they were SB bound. Maybe next year.
Thanks Bro.
My avatar says it all Still stunned!!!! Oh well. I don't write the checks. thUX2BG5IM.jpgRooting for KC. They have not hoisted the trophy since 71

The Mets' newly hired skipper Carlos Beltran also has a problem...before he was hired, he claimed during his interview with the Mets that he knew nothin of the cheating scandal in 2017 as a player...but the report says otherwise.

If Beltran did in fact tell a few big lies he very well could be fired for that alone. Sympathy is between shit and syphilis in the dictionary. There will be many more worms crawling from the Boston/Houston cans before this situation is settled.

I think the fallout will hit Beltran as well. I expect the Mets will end his tenure before it even starts.

From a Nov 13th Bronx Pinstripes article:

When Carlos Beltran was asked about Houston’s tampering earlier this week, he said the Astros were really only able to steal signs when men stood on second. During the game where he said Paxton was tipping though, there were no men on second when any of the runs scored.

Cya Carlos, if the Mets have any sense; then Carlos will be the shortest tenure coach in MLB History...

There will be much finger pointing and bickering during this season. Teams and players who are considered participants are going to catch hell from the press, fans and the like. If Reddick cried about playing right in Yankee Stadium then wait til '20. I'm no big fan of Chris Rose but when he stated yesterday that participants will have to "wear it in '20" he hit the nail on the head.

Both Porcello and Betances were on the losing side to Hoouston in the '17 Series. Once that scandal broke those two guys being current Mets would have absolutely no confidence in Beltran . Now we see the New York Mets striking out their chosen managerial choice.
