    Online Betting Overview

The Philadelphia Phillies gave a small window to the Atlanta Braves where Atlanta could pull closer in the NL East pennant race. The Braves did their best to take advantage of that window, but it just was not enough games to make up the gap in the pennant race. Now the Braves have fallen to seven and a half games back in the NL East and it looks like Atlanta is going to have to settle for the NL wild card playoff spot. The Phillies are just too good and winning too many games for the Braves to overcome them and take the pennant. Now the Braves need to concern themselves with getting their starting pitching rotation and batting order ready for the playoffs. The pressure to win the NL East pennant appears to be off in Atlanta, but the pressure to keep winning is still there. This is a young team with a bright future and this will just be the continuation of a long series of future playoff runs.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have shocked the MLB baseball betting world be being the best team in the majors in the last 10 games. The Dodgers are 9-1 in the last 10 games and currently riding a four-game winning streak. That moves the Dodgers up in the NL West standings, but with an 11.5 game pad between Los Angeles and the division-leading Arizona Diamondbacks, it is too little, too late for the Dodgers. The Dodgers have had one of the more interesting seasons in baseball with the Dodgers ownership fighting with the MLB league offices over control of the team and the threat of Los Angeles missing payroll and going bankrupt. Most of the MLB highlights with the Dodgers have been in the tabloid headlines, but the Braves will want to pay close attention to the good baseball the Dodgers have been playing lately.

    Atlanta Braves
Have the Atlanta Braves really found something in young starting pitcher Mike Minor? Minor was on the 10-day disabled list and this will be his first game back. But he is 4-0 in his last seven starts including a streak of three consecutive wins. He has been averaging eight strikeouts per game in his last three starts, and he is getting hot at the right moment for the Braves. The Braves still put a lot of run support behind every pitcher that takes the mound, and Minor has needed that run support at times this year. But he has only allowed six runs in his last three games and he looks to be making a spot for himself on the Braves’ starting playoff rotation.

    Los Angeles Dodgers
Clayton Kershaw starts the Sunday game in this series for the Dodgers. Nathan Eovaldi starts this game on the mound for Los Angeles as the Dodgers try to find a staff to put around Kershaw next season. Eovaldi was doing just fine in his quest to nail down a spot on the starting rotation until his August 28th start against the Colorado Rockies. The betonline reviews for Eovaldi’s performance in that game were not positive as he went four innings, gave up five runs on six hits and took the loss. Eovaldi tries to rebound against the Braves, which will actually be harder than it sounds.

    The Bottom Line
The Dodgers are fishing games out of a hat for some of these young pitchers to start. It looks like the Dodgers’ winning streak comes to an end in this game.

    Pick: Atlanta Braves
