The good thing about Hawaiian time is that it is only six hours behind Eastern, meaning they could have the PPV live rather than on tape delay, so long as the fighters were willing to fight with the undercard starting around 1:00 and the main card at 4:00, in order for the PPV to start at 10:00PM EST. It's not as bad as Japan. The UFC could put together a decent card for the event with BJ in the main event, Kendall grove on the main card, and then lots of Asians (Okami, Kang, Sexyama, Uno, Kim, etc.) to fill it out. Possibly even Machida.
Are there any good venues in Hawaii to hold a UFC Fight? Hawaii doesn't seem like a major sporting event place.
ICON and SuperBrawl held their events at Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu. It can seat about 8,200 for an MMA event. I don't know if there is anything bigger, but it is possible they could hold an event outdoors Bodog-style.
they may have regulated it, but they've also approved a big tax promoters will have to pay, thus sanctioning the sport and repelling promoters at the same time. This could seriously hinder the chances of seeing the UFC arrive in Hawaii.
