Emeka Okafor - ORL
Dwigh Howard - CHI
Loul Deng - WAS
Shaun Livingston - CHAR
Josh Smith - Any team
Ben Gordon - Any
Telfair - Any
Devin Harris - Any
Rafael Araujo - Any
Jameer Nelson - Any

I think that would be a top 10 in the draft at least not in order..

Chiriaev is out and Andriuskevicius is in, so that changes things a bit. Also there are some reports that Perovic will pull out because of buyout issues, but my guess is that he'll stay in if he gets a lottery guarantee.

Here's my lottery, assuming the order stays the same:

1. Orlando: Okafor
2. Chicago: Howard (though I still think they'll trade him if they're at #2, and there's an outside chance that they take Deng)
3. Washington: Deng
4. Charlotte: Livingston
5. LAC: Harris
6. Atlanta: Josh Howard
7. Phoenix: Gordon
8. Philadelphia: Biedrins
9. Toronto: Andriuskevicius
10. Cleveland: Nelson (This might be a bit of a reach, I think they'd love for Harris to fall)
11. Golden State: Podkolzine
12. Seattle: Igoudala (This pick doesn't seem like it makes a lot of sense, but he'd be the best available player and would allow them to start looking at moving Allen who will be a FA in '05 anyway. They'll probably lose Flip Murray to free agency this year as well)
13. Portland: Childress
14. Utah: Perovic

The who is the other guy that might go to either team??????

My lottery mock draft:

1. Orlando: Emeka Okafor this is a very obvious choice
2. Chicago: Dwight Howard and trade him I don't think they want anymore highschoolers
3. Washington: Luol Deng - How great would it be to get this guy on Washington, he'd be exactly what they need.
4. Charlotte: Andris Biedrins - It's always good to get a center.
5. Clippers: Shaun Livingston - The Clippers still don't have a real PG and this could be it.
6. Atlanta: Josh Smith - Loads of potential and Atlanta just needs players doesn't matter who.
7. Phoenix: Pavel Podkolzine - he can learn behind Lampe next year and we'll see in the future
8. Toronto: Ben Gordon - we need a PG up here in Toronto and bad, hoping he isn't picked before this then we get him.
9. Philadelphia: Andre Iguodala - He'll play as a SF for Philly.
10. Cleveland: Devin Harris - They need a PG for the future, McInnis isn't young.
11. Warriors: Kosta Perovic - they need a big and this would be a good pick.
12. Sonics: Rafael Araujo - The Sonics center's aren't cutting it and he would be good for them.
13. Portland: Josh Childress - DA is slowly becoming an old man.
14. Utah: Hakim Warrick or JR Smith - Their biggest need is at Center, but I'm thinking the Sonics might snatch Araujo.

1. Orlando - Okafor
This pick should speak for itself. I think Okafor should get the number one and Orlando would be foolish not to pick him with that pick. He isn't a highschooler but he will be able to play in this league right away, which is a plus IF you want to keep Mcgrady. If they don't then I would see Howard at this pick while Orlando rebuilds.

2. Chicago - Luol Deng
Chicago is in need of a small foward and Deng would be the best possible choice at this pick. I can foresee him starting when the season gets rolling because he just has a damn good game. Even if Okafor drops down to this pick I would still see Chicago picking Deng.

3. Washington - Dwight Howard
Washington is in rebuilding stage right now and I don't see why they would not take a chance on Howard. He can potentially play right away and could also play alongside Kwame Brown. Maybe this would light a fire under Kwame's ass to start living up to his potential.

4. Charlotte - Ben Gordon
I think with all of the players they pick up on the waiver wire they would still want someone that can start immediatley. Ben Gordon plays both pg and sg and has some potential to be a big time scorer in the NBA. I don't see Charlotte taking a chance on a highschooler much less a unknown foreign player.

5. LA Clippers - Shaun Livinston
The LA clippers have expressed interest in drafting Telfair with their pick so why not take the best highschool PG in the draft? I have heard good things about Livingston and I don't see why he can't do 5 assists per game feeding Brand. The Clippers have been burned before with Highschoolers but they are still willing to take a chance.

6. Atlanta - Martynas Andriuskevicius
Atlanta wants and needs a big man so I don't see why they won't pick up Andiuskevicius (thats a long ass name) The new owners are going to rebuild and if a good centre is available they should build around him. His game is compared to a young Sabonis' so he can't be that bad.

7. Phoenix - Andris Biedrins
This dude is a PF/C that has to start working out. His game is comparable to Chris Bosh' but how accurate can these things be in the first place. Phoenix is in rebuilding mode and need a good defensive centre. Andris is their man.

8. Toronto - Devin Harris
Toronto needs a point guard plain and simple. If Ben Gordon drops down to this spot the Raptors will take him immediatley. If Gordon doesn't drop down they will take the next best thing that can start playing right away.

9. Philadelphia - Andre Iguodala
Philly is in need of a SF so I see this atheltic foward being taken here. He has a weak outside jumper so he should fit in very well with the Sixers.

10. Cleveland - Josh Childress
Cleveland is solid at all positions so I see Childress being pick here. He could be a sixth man on their team when the season starts.

11. Golden State - Pavel Podkolzine
With Dampier and Foyle leaving GS I see the Warriors taking this beast. I can't say much about his game except for the fact that he's 7'3 and 300 pounds. This kid is very raw but could be effective to just leave in the paint to create a presence.

12. Seattle - Jameer Nelson
Seattle needs a point guard. Jameer can run the team when the season starts and do well. He played with a St. Joes team system where they were a team that shot from the outside. That sounds exactly like Seattle so he would be a good fit.

13. Portland - Sergei Monya
Portland needs a shooting guard that can......well shoot. Sergei has a good midrange and decent three point shot. Portland needs someone that can make the open jumper.

If your doing just the lottery picks, there is 14 (not 13) this year due to Charlotte having the 4th pick. Utah are the 14th team.

why do so many have phoenix taking Ben Gordon. Sure I like him but we're FULL at point and he isn't big enough for a 2 guard (which we also don't need). Really we are going to be shopping for a PF/C to eventually replace the veteran we will no doubt get for a backup to Amare. We will go to FA for a starting C and already have a developing center. Same for SF and SG. I don't know about the rest of the teams but I think og15 and courtvision are the only ones going by need not just position in the draft.

^I can't speak for others, but I can tell you why I have Gordon going to the Suns. Phoenix is obviously set at the three and four with Marion and Stoudemire. Johnson also looks like the sg of the future. They were predicted to be the sixth best team in the West before the start of the '03/'04 season and should be able to make a big jump next year if they shore up the pg and c.

The Suns already have young depth at the pg (Barbosa and Vujanic) and c (Lampe), what they need are guys who can come in and play right away. All the big men in the draft will take a couple of years to develop, and none of them are clearly better than Lampe. However, Gordon is one of the few guys in the draft that can come in and compete right away. I think he's just as talented as Wade or Arenas and should be able to have a similar impact in his first year, whether it be as the starting pg or as a third guard.

If the Suns draft Gordon and get one of the several big men available in free agency (Dampier, Clark, Okur, Swift, etc.) they'll be much more competitive next year than if they were to draft a big man like Podkolzine or Andriuskevicius, who won't be ready to compete for another year or two.

By the way, I do think the Suns will go after a big man with their free agent dollars instead of making a serious run at Kobe. If they were to go after Kobe, they would probably have to trade their pick to Charlotte as part of a deal with the Bobcats to have White selected in the expansion draft so they could clear enough cap space for Kobe. I think this would be a bad strategy considering the emergence of Johnson and the fact that they'd have a gaping hole at c while they're waiting for Lampe to develop. They're better off playing it safe by keeping the pick and going after a big man in free agency.

I agree with wtwalker , Suns don't need Kobe imo , Johnson could be something special in this league. They are set at the 2 , 3 , 4 starters at least. They should draft a PG (Gordon(very similar to Arenas) , Jameer Nelson , Livingston , Telfair) all in order if they are or are not available. Then use some trades and sign a big man.

thank you for your analysis. assuming we dump Eisley that would leave us with 3 point guards with 1 year of NBA experience between them. I think Vujanic might be able to contribute as quickly (ala Parker) as Gordon due to his many years of pro experienca and his age (soon 24). Agreed about C and FA. Agreed about SG SF and PF but I still think we should go after a backup PF instead of this lithuanian character. I have a good feeling about Tiago Splitter fitting the suns... but apparently the suns have offered the other guy a deal according to rumor
