Sounds like Denny's secret weapon is going to be around a while.

There was a time earlier this season when I didn't think Thibodeau would allow such a thing (he wouldn't play Mohammed with a gun to his head), but Mohammed has become Kurt "Big Sexy" Redux.

It has been weird how that situation has evolved. The guy has actually been decent for much of his career. No complaints from me.

8 teams in 15 years. His coaches love him.

Have to admit, he has been more than adequate in the first round. Yes,

Since his "resurgence", it's always made sense to keep him around.

The list of guys who are big, able to play in Thibs' lineup, and willing to do so for the league minimum is very short.

It's hard to imagine anyone else we could bring in that wouldn't have a similar development curve as Nazr. Our draft pick will probably get the Marquis Teague treatment.

This offseason I'm hoping to keep Marco, Nazr and Nate.

Marco and Nazr for the minimum, Nate for 2 years/6 mil with a team option for the 2nd.

    Rose/Nate/Kirk
    Marco/Kirk/Butler/Nate
    Deng/Butler/Thomas
    Boozer/Taj/Thomas
    Noah/Nazr/Taj/1st rnd pick

Marco plays like Bogans does. 15 minutes a game, but he starts the 1st and 3rd quarters. He's a better fit inbetween Rose and Deng than Jimmy because of his shooting and ballhandling.

Jimmer gets about 25-30 minutes a game. Hinrich backs up the PG/SG depending on who he's playing with. We keep Nate around for his game changing offensive ability off the bench. He's perfect sandwiched between Rose and Kirk.

We won't need him like we do this year, so we can enjoy the luxury of his occasional outbursts.

Not sexy, but keeps us "flexible" for 2014 (Big Foam Finger) and builds on what we did last year.
