Nine of the next thirteen games are at home. Only 4 of those games are against teams above .500. Nine wins during this stretch is possible. It would push the Raptors record to 32-26, possibly enough to overtake Miami for the fifth seed. vs. Miami @ New York vs. Indiana @ Indiana vs. New Jersey vs. Sacramento vs. Philadelphia vs. Memphis @ New Jersey vs. Washington vs. Portland vs. Cleveland @ Oklahoma City
i still dont trust those guys. i know a team like the spurs even if they struggle, can pull out of it because they have consistent winners. conversely, the raps dont have that personnel who have demonstrated themselves to be players on good teams. im not suggesting it wont happen, i actually like our chances but i still dont trust these guys and that makes me think anything is entirely possible.
Well the team certainly hasn't earned trust or demonstrated mental toughness... and we have a predilection towards looking at the schedule and marking w's and l's before the games are played, hence playing up and down to our competition... but some of those teams will roll over.
maybe you mentioning this was a jinxed just jinxed us. wouldn't that be some kind of weird irony. Man this stretch is it though, the raps fuck up here Bosh probably leaves and we screw ourselves in terms of playoff positioning.
Momentum is building! Indiana have been tough for us this year... but we are better. Hopefully we can steal the road game cause you know we'll win at home.
yeah, i was glancing at the schedule and it looks like we should win the next 4 games easily so that would make us 7 games over .500. and that qualifies us for a parade in toronto in light of the leafs disaster season.
i still think we need to make a significant trade to solidify our wing spot or acquire a great defensive player like a camby to do anything worthwhile in the playoffs. honestly at this point with our current roster configuration- i think we get swept in the first round by any of the four top teams teams except maybe orlando who are prone to have let downs.
the next 3 will be tough, particularly if bosh is sidelined. i think okc runs roughshod over us because of their great perimeter play but i like our chances against portland and cleveland.
Not gonna lie, i'm relieved Cleveland traded Z (though he might come back?). It makes the Raptors job a lot easier.
did u catch jamison's 0 for 12 debut performance? they have him coming off the bench in a sixth man role right now- i wonder how thats going to work out. im hoping he does well because he's a genuinely good guy but chemistry is a bewildering thing.
So, with the momentum that the raps are now building towards the end of the season, you think they have enough in the tank for the 4th seed? A lot of people were saying 4th seed would be the best case scenario for this roster, it would be cool to see it happen.
31-24 not to bad I might say. My prediction is we are beating Portland, Cleveland and OKC. We're making a run boys.
