The Warriors have a divided locker room and Ellis continues to have issues with Nellie and the franchise. This stems all the way back when the Warriors fined and suspended him for his moped accident. Fun times.
Where are the Nelson supporters on this? 1. It's all Monta's fault for riding a moped last season. We will never forget this stupid mistake and no amount of fines and suspension will ever make it up. Monta needs to grovel at our feet forever. 2. It's all Monta's fault because he refused to accept the blame of all of the Warriors losses and problems this season. 3. It's all Monta's fault because Jackson got a big contract and now has become a cancer. 4. It's all Monta's fault because he can't play PG the way Nelson envisioned it two years ago. Nevermind, Nelson never develops younger players. It's all up to Monta to earn the minutes so he could learn. 5. It's all Monta's fault because if the Warriors win, then he is supposed to give Don Nelson all the credit. What a selfish player Monta is for not acknowledging how great Don Nelson is. 6. It's all Monta's fault because he can't make the best management in the NBA -- Cohan, Rowell, Riley and Nelson look good. 7. It's all Monta's fault because he has no respect for the whales -- especially the fat, blubbery dumb bastard kind.
The draftpick is fine. It's really key injuries to Biedrins and Turiaf that are hurting us. We're too thin in the middle and at the four to really do much of anything well. Plus, Maggette at the four or any position kills the ball movement. He's great when we need to go to the line, but his broken J and 3.0+ turnovers per game is killing the team. I'm still rooting for putting in Curry next to Morrow and Ellis and get our bigs healthy. Also, Nelson needs to promote Randolph to starting 4. I mean Biedrins + Randolph doesn't work??? C'mon! I refuse to believe that. I choose it over Turiaf + Biedrins and this business we got playing a swingman at the 4. Why can't we just pull out a min. contract for any one of the centers floating around in free agency. I'll freakin' take Calvin Booth if it can prevent Randolph from having to play center, he's a power forward/ small forward. Going back to Mags, he's another Jamison/Murphy. Gives us points + rebounding, but crappier distance shooter. He does nothing to circulate the ball or help out on defense except for fouling. And then this Ellis thing... he's not a leader. I think he's another Steve Francis or Stephon Marbury. I don't think he's making his teams better unless he dishes it out more and takes better care of the ball. We'd know where this franchise was going if we got our hands on Chris Paul or Deron Williams that's for sure. They got more leadership type character than Ellis has. Same with Brandon Roy. We got talent, but not mature talent. I hate to say it but Baron was our most mature, unquestionable talent. Everyone looked to him. Now its at Ellis or Sjax since they're our top two guys. I'm almost thinking we could do without Ellis because he doesn't make guys better, but not yet. If Sjax is gone, maybe Ellis won't be a problem.
Well, I don't really know if you can blame Nelson for this one. Yeah, let's not dismiss any of Nelson's short falls, but let's also consider this roster. Monta is paid to be the franchise guy, but here he is being a big baby about being blamed for everything. God, I'm so sick of this little punk who thinks he's big shit now. He hasn't done anything to prove he's back to "normal." Whatever that is. Maybe two years ago was just a fluke. He's not a PG, he's can't defend SG's let alone other PG's, and he's certainly not a leader. He said he wanted to lead by example, so what the hell kind of example is he setting now? Just publicly blast your coach in front of media and teammates? SJax AND Monta need to go. Nelson needs to go too. But most importantly, Cohan and Rowell need to go. The player/coach revolving door is just a vicious cycle until management/ownership are gone. At this pace, we will suffer another 15 years.
Let him hit a few mid-range jumpers before he starts whining. Nelson lost this team before the season started, and the front office is looking to sell. What agent is going to subject his player to an organization adjustment? It's all related, they're all to blame (the players too). I'm sick of this team, but I still watch...total battered wife syndrome
