<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> First-round pick Andris Biedrins, 18, has spent the first half of the season developing his game against Murphy and Robinson - something that was always vice president Chris Mullin's plan for the youngest player in the NBA. The 6-foot-11 rookie from Latvia, who has six points in his four appearances thus far, has been polishing his inside moves, and Montgomery might have plans to unwrap him soon. "It's been hard for me to envision an 18-year-old kid having an impact in the NBA, but he's getting better," Montgomery said. "He wasn't one of those man-childs coming out of the draft, and he's needed to get stronger. But he's worked hard, and he'll be a guy you'll see soon so we can get a feel for where he is." </div>http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/second_half_0405.html Once again, I can't wait for this guy to get on the court. And I certainly hope that "soon" means before/when Cliff Robinson gets traded.
Man I hope Biedrins can get a lot of playing time. He is supposed to be pretty good. Espically inside
Yep, he's like nothing GS has had in a long while: Bright, upbeat, pasionate, legitamate 7' center who loves to play D, loves to play with his back to the basket, and can jump out of the gym. Can he play in the NBA? I hope we get to find out soon!
What's up Hoopla I think having more than one or two players that plays defense is a breath of fresh air for the Warriors. Let's hope the offense is there. He seems he could be a very focussed player.
Biedrens is basically a redshirt freshman. I believe he wants to play D but he's green and 18 so how much D he can play is an unknown. Foyle arrived with ncaa shot block records- Biedrens arrived as a project with some skills we have yet to see. I think he will be pretty good but it is way too soon to assume much
^Well anything can be better than the inside force we have right now. I say if we let him play he can get a feel for the NBA and will excel at a younger age. Look at Darko, if he got playing time, he would be doing great, that's the problem with Biedrins, Monty doesn't want to play him, but he'll be the next Darko
The future looks bright for these youngsters as long as we can re-sign them while over the cap. If not, another generation of wasting draft picks and failing to add to the talent level.
