<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DENVER -- A homemade DVD shows Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony with a man who warns that people who tip police about drug deals "get a hole in their head."

The remark was apparently made in a conversation on a street in Baltimore, where Anthony grew up. In excerpts broadcast on television stations in Denver and Baltimore on Thursday, Anthony does not appear to be participating in that part of the discussion.

Anthony's agent, Calvin Andrews, said Anthony "did not knowingly participate in the production of this DVD and does not approve of its message or content."

In a written statement, Andrews said Anthony visited with people from his old neighborhood in Baltimore last summer.

"Carmelo has never denied the fact that he comes from a tough neighborhood. He does not condone some of the things that happen there and has worked very hard to rise above that difficult environment," Andrews said.</div>

There is going to give Carmelo more and moe problems in his life off the basketball court. Not to mention this will likely have a negative effect on the Nuggets as a basketball team, it seems like Melo is always in the news these days, and not in a good way. But I think the media can at times hype things up, let the man play basketball.Thats all I care about.

This was also very disurbing but unclear.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The DVD also shows a laughing Anthony saying his Olympic bronze medal "is in a lake somewhere," KMGH-TV in Denver reported, but it wasn't clear whether he was joking. Anthony was unhappy with his playing time at the Athens Games, and U.S. coach Larry Brown called him lazy.</div>

MJ, please help this kid like you have done in the past, save Carmelo before its too late! [IMG]

The Melo situation just keeps getting worst. He is quickly going from the Larry Bird / Magic comparison (coming into the league with Lebron) to Isiah Rider comparisons as a guy who does not stop messing up. Melo needs some serious advice at this point.

Damn you beat me to it. I'm getting pretty sick of Melo ending up in the news for, not the best reasons. Although i think recently eith the extortion plot, and this, the media has blow it out of proportion. People seem to be after Carmelo recently, but its not like im not dissapointed in Carmelo., because i have been his bigget supporter and always had his back from day1. As far as him "throwing his medal into the lake goes". I heard he claims it was just a joke. If that is true or not, i dont know. But i do think if it is true, it wasnt out of spite for anything, but rather he wanted 1st and hes dissapoitned in himself. Still would disgust me if its true. heres a better link to it http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,3...2573102,00.html

The DVD news seemed to have affected the way Melo play in the Cavs game. It was clear he was playing angry and he wasn't himself. He seemed to try very hard at everything he did, which is usually done with the greatest of ease. He was thinking a lot of things that's for sure, that's why he wasn't really focused on the game. But that's part of being young, it's how he finds out how to respond to this... and Melo has to face this earlier to learn from this rather than later on.

He put a bad light on my favorite city. I hope we can regain your respect. Darn you Carmelo. I'll get over it though as soon as he apologizes. The articles on it in the Baltimore Sun were amazingly written. I wish you didn't have to have a subscription to see it. And they did an article on Melo's rough life, and all of this on the front page. I wish he would just relax and play ball, he is making way too many mistakes off the court.

I don't think he's put a 'bad light' on Baltimore. I mean, almost every city here in North America has its great sites, and it's rough parts. Some of the most exotic cities in the world have it's very rough parts, such as NY and LA. He's still only 20 years old, he will get over it.

When you're 20 years old, making lots of money, having too much game, but knowing little how to handle the spotlight, you become a Carmelo Anthony. Give him time, he's just a kid, but so far as a fan I've been pleased with how he wants to bounce back as evidenced with a 28 pt, 5 assist, and 4 steal performance against the Heat last night. Most people at his age would be too furious to do that and would hang their heads after going through what Melo has gone through. But Melo didn't and that's what's important.

I'm really getting tired of all this Melo drama. People should just leave him alone and let him play the game. Like Miami's Finest said, it is amazing what thugs can do with technology. I don't agree with some of the things Carmelo does like the marajuana, bar fight or Septemebr 11th shirt but this sounds like someone is trying to make him look bad.
