Why? Because we won 8 more games than they did last year? Because our organization is so stable? Washington has John Wall and Jordan Crawford to build with, along with the 3rd pick in th edraft and last years lottery selection in Jan Vesely

Jordan crawford is worse than jamal crawford who you hate. He is no one to hang yor hat on for a franchise. Would have been better to say nene.

Its a lot worse then our job. An organization that is in turmoil much like our own. A losing environment with no all-star and a bunch of immature players. By the time that teams good that coach will be fired. We have draft picks, cap space and an all-star who is widely considered the most well rounded player at his position. We are also looking to get back into the playoffs while the Wizard are hoping to sniff the playoffs
The whole "Woah is me" attitude about our organization and how much our positions are not wanted is just something I can't fathom. Reading this forum is like listening to Canzano half the time because its all doom and gloom and its "cool" to say everything about our organization is fucked and no one wants to go near us with ten a foot poll. There are 30 Coaching/GM spots in the NBA. No matter how bad of an organization you there are hundreds of qualified applicants at both positions who would love a shot at either job. Does anyone here actually think an assistant coach would turn down a head coaching job. The whole GM thing is wack too. These out of work big name GM's get fired for a reason, mostly because they really aren't that good at the job, if our GM job was such a toxic spot why were we able to nab Cho so easily and why do we have 4 very qualified and good candidates waiting to hear if we offer them the job or not.
A coach/GM prefer an organization that is dedicated to winning, we have 54,50,48 games then slipped this year and nabbed 2 Lottery picks in a very deep draft with a very nice amount of cap space and our owner/GM have both said they are about winning now. Seems like a great spot to me.

Beautiful. If I weren't a Scrooge, I'd rep people, but I haven't for 2 years, so everyone hates me.

    Good post.

Reminds me during the lock out, the constant thought being preached here was Allen is a hardliner who is burning bridges during the lock out and no players will want to come play in Portland. As much as that was being put out there, it never played out like that. Ptd did not have issues with players not wanting to play in Ptd because of PA.

I don't think Ptd has the clout to steal a top GM or coach from another team, but there are plenty of qualified applicants that would accept both a GM spot and coaching spot in Ptd.
