More Minutes Aids Stuckey's Progress

GRAND RAPIDS-- With Chauncey Billups (right ankle sprain) and Walter Herrmann (sore ribs) both out for tonight's game against San Antonio, the Detroit Pistons will continue to dole out significant minutes to their younger players.

Rodney Stuckey, who will start in place of Billups, should benefit from this more than anyone else.

Here's what coach Michael Curry had to say when I asked him about Stuckey and him playing significant minutes.

"We have to realize, he (Stuckey) hasn't played 82 games yet," Curry said. "Playing in the NBA over the course of 82 games, and the preseason and the postseason, takes a toll on your body. His body hasn't gone through that yet. If he is going to be a guy that's going to play around 25 minutes a night, he has to get his body prepared to do that."
